Meet Our Teacher Tribe
Tricia Clarke is a Reiki and Yoga enthusiast who decided to share her passion for these healing modalities with the community by opening Mantra Spirit Studio.
She completed her 6 month internship for her Reiki Master certification in 2017 and has been passionate about teaching Reiki Level 1 and 2 in Fernie and hosting Yoga/Reiki retreats in Bali Indonesia. Her Yoga teaching style incorporates channeling Life Force energy through yoga postures to help empower the body and mind. Tricia has recently completed Akashic Records Level 2 training and continues to pursue this healing modality to enrich the studio with holistic healing practices.
A seeker of spirituality from a young age, Christa discovered Reiki in her early 20’s. She used the modality through both of her pregnancies and it supports her to this day. When she discovered yoga over 20 years ago she was hooked after her first class and within a few years knew she wanted to be a teacher. A lover of movement of all kind, yoga fit into that parameter but in a more grounded and spiritual way than the other movement practices she loves, like x-country skiing, hiking, mountain biking and paddling. Her yoga practise continues to grow and transform with the infusion of her recent studies in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Self Compassion, Reiki Level II and Meditation. Christa has also completed Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology Practitioners Course and is offering consultations within this incredible modality.
Starting with Iyengar Yoga over 2 decades ago, Sam now curiously weaves movement into asana - threading philosophy and breathwork into the tapestry of what she offers. Her classes use conscious movement to approach asana in practical meaningful ways that build strength, create stability and release unnecessary tension. Beginning and ending with mindfulness and breathwork, Sam’s classes offer something for everyone.

Now an E-RYT 500 hour yoga teacher, Reiki Level II and certified neuro-science based life coach, Simone finds inspiration from all the benefits yoga offers to so many different human beings; The benefit this practice has to rehabilitate, strengthen, open, and deliver you to the present moment through moving or motionless meditation.
Yoga is really an adventure to the self for Simone.
Leonie's wellness journey kickstarted when she began working with wellness spas in and around Invermere. Having been surrounded by such wonderful healers for many years, she was inspired to undergo trainings herself that would broaden her knowledge and understanding of the body, mind and emotions and ways to treat and prevent pain in any of those areas. This began with training as a reiki master in 2018 which was soon followed by thai massage and more recently completing 200hr yoga teacher training. With an ever-growing belief in the body's own self healing power, Leonie aims to share techniques of self-care that offer support to this, as well as hold space to allow work on our inner dialogue and relationship with 'self' to take place. Leonie has always had a great passion for music and is particularly interested in the effects that mantra and different sound vibrations can have on the body and sometimes likes to use mantras as you drift into savasana. Leonie has lived in the elk valley since 2021 and is so happy to have the opportunity to share her love of yoga with this community.
Maddy is a lover of movement. From climbing mountains, riding bikes, lifting weights to spending time on her yoga mat, she truly believes that movement is a form of medicine.
Maddy is a certified Sattva Yoga Teacher and has been sharing this practice with the community since 2014. Sattva Yoga can be described as a practice connecting the body breath and mind. Binding these three techniques allows the practitioner to eventually move into a flow like state.
Mandy became a yoga teacher in 2014. The following year, she received her Reiki level I & II certifications as well as an integrative healing yoga therapy certificate — a style of bodywork similar to Thai massage and infused with Reiki and acupressure therapy.
Mandy’s Vinyasa classes are trauma-informed, alignment focused, and filled with deliciously dynamic movements.
Mandy’s is currently a Masters student in Psychology in order to deepen her understanding of the mind-body connection. She intends to use yoga and somatic healing as a tool within her psychotherapy practice one day.
Kim discovered yoga in 2006 and was drawn to it for the calming and grounding effects it had on her life. She studied and received her teacher training in Fernie in 2009. Kim became a teacher with the hopes to inspire others on their path to discover yoga. Kim's classes offer her students a safe, gentle, and nurturing environment to explore and discover yoga through the mind-body connection. Kim has been teaching prenatal yoga in the Elk Valley for over 10 years. She received her Level 2 Reiki training 2.5 years ago. The prenatal classes combine movement, breath work, and space to connect with our babies in a Reiki infused studio. So come out, Mom's-to-be and enjoy her class.

Movement and well-being have always been part of my soul, but I wasn’t truly intrigued by yoga until joining a class, on a whim, with my roommate in university. Turns out that wonderful group of (mostly 50+ aged) yogis in a little Nova Scotia town practicing in a church hall was an amazing experience. I went back week after week.
After 15 years of practice, with only the intention of self-improvement and personal growth, I finally took the plunge and completed my 200 Mocean Yoga YTT on the beach in beautiful Nicaragua. Only a few days in, my perspective changed, my intention completely shifted. The purpose of my personal practice was redirected, and I could not wait to for the chance to find my way to share this wonderful gift of yoga.
To me, yoga is a magic. It is a balance of the simple and complex, the inspiring and grounding, the physical and mental, and, with a little discipline and an open heart and mind, has the potential to take us where we need to go. I am not afraid to make you dig deep in both mind and body. You will find a wonderful balance of physical challenge, breath work, mental clarity, and energetic grounding in my classes.
